Physical Education

Physical Education is an integral part of the total educational process.  It provides movement-centered and wellness-based activities for students.  Everyone should be equipped early in life with the knowledge and essential life skills necessary to be a healthy and productive citizen.  The primary aim of Physical Education is to maximize opportunities for life long physical fitness and wellness, while promoting self-realization and improved human relations.  Through appropriate PE programs, students can realize their personal capabilities as moving beings and thus develop a positive and accurate self image.

Green Tree School is a place where Physical Education is exciting and challenging.  Goals are clearly stated and expectations are high.  Students will be allowed to safely explore the extent of their physical potential while teachers focus on each student's needs and serve as instructors, mentors, and motivators. Students will be encouraged to develop knowledge, skills and appreciation of their responsibilities as members of society, as well as lifelong learners.  Educators, parents and communities must share responsibilities for helping students prepare themselves to perform productively.
