A Bright Futures Affair
A Bright Futures Affair was held on October 11th at The Franklin Institute. We were able to share this beautiful evening with over 350 guests. The event featured amazing food prepared and served by Steve Poses, founder of the Frog Commissary and GTSS's Culinary Arts Program with the assistance of students from the Culinary Arts Program; our emcee of the evening, Lori Wilson from NBC 10; a proud and powerful testimony from former student and current college student, Kimani Shaw and other speakers including board members and Coordinator of Autistic Support & Early Intervention Programs, Doreen Williams; last but certainly not least, there was an inspiring performance by the Green Tree Choir, as well as artwork on display created by our wonderfully talented students.
We were proud to honor Robert Bartow, recipient of the first Albert Silverman Bright Futures Award, and Debra Moore, recipient of the first Herman Axelrod Staff Excellence Award.
