Green Tree School and Services Co-Hosts Autism Family Fun Day with Motherly Autistic Care

Earlier this month, Green Tree School & Services (GTSS) and Motherly Autistic Care (MAC) hosted their annual Autism Family Fun Day, providing attendees an opportunity to socialize in a relaxed, fun, and safe outdoor setting at Ridley Creek State Park in Philadelphia, PA.

As well-established pillars of the Philadelphia community, GTSS and MAC celebrate in bringing together families with unique experiences and needs to enjoy in each other’s company.

Executive Director of Green Tree School, Dr. Ashara Cashaw, described what made this event special. “It’s important to us that the parents and students we serve have the opportunity to meet and interact with other families facing similar challenges,” said Dr. Cashaw. “By partnering with Motherly Autistic Care and working with other leaders and non-profits in the area, we were able to reach a large community of families and help them feel supported. While the children played freely and safely, parents were able to relax and enjoy a judgement-free zone.”

GTSS hosts two family fun days each year; one in October in partnership with MAC and another in April at the GTSS campus.
